Membership of a canoe union / club is very beneficial.

Notes	A lighter and more responsive compact Cat compared to the TourCat-2. Smaller diameter main tubes and a single floor mat Large sized photos	Very suitable as a river touring raft with storage space for camping kit (or with extra passengers seated on the floor), and use on flat water and on rivers Grades 1-3. With sufficient experience with this Cat, Grades 4-5 can be tackled. Paddlers are seated on top of the main tubes with both legs in the raft The cataraft design makes river touring much easier than the heavyweight rafts which has a fair bit of drag. Another advantage over rafts of similiar size is the total carrying weight is so much lighter and has a more compact backpack.	Light and very nimble. Kneeling seats allows for advanced paddle strokes and provides ability to raise the bow as needed. Paddlers will be able to reach out further sideways with the paddle, far more than any other type of raft. Main tubes are flat-topped. The kneeling style may require rests at intervals. EG stretch legs if unaccustomed to kneeling for long periods. With sufficient experience on this craft, river grades 4-5 can be mastered. The deck width by the knees is rather narrow, so if you are XXL and very tall, please discuss available options. Existing kneeling seat is comfortable for paddlers up to 250lbs / 113kg and 6'6" / 2m, NOTE - the straps on the kneeling seats / saddles and foot rests has been changed - photos on this site are of the previous design / version. New design is more comfortable and safer Large sized photos	A more responsive Cat compared to the SportCat-2, with seats being positioned lower. Kneeling platform made of stiff drop stitch. Kneeling seats more comfortably profiled.

Here is a speeded up demonstration of unpacking and inflation of the SportCat-2 (Called Zelgear's BeaveR-2 in USA). Full assembly process with the included hand pump takes approximately 15 minutes (with 2 pumps, it's half the time). We sped up the film clip x30 to make it more fun to watch. The TourCat-2 has larger side tubes and an extra cross tube, plus thigh straps and foot caps - approx extra 5 minutes inflation time.
