NERIS ZelGear produces the traditional and the new very sporty kneeling
seat type R2 & R4 frameless and framed catarafts. The kneeling
versions offers a more natural forward facing sitting position.
The kneeling
seats have thigh / knee straps and foot rests to assist being seated
firmly on the flat topped pontoons of the raft.
Catarafts, compared to river rafts, are quick and nimble - renowned for
amazing agility and performance. The upswept ends assists the Cat's speed
and maneuverability and also aids in punching through the waves up to
Grade 5 rapids. Higher
grade rapids should only be attempted by experienced teams familiar with
the unique characteristics of the Cats.

Features of the SportCat and VectoR series rafts:-
The ZelGear SportCats and VectoR's (called Zelgear BeaveR-2 and OtteR-4 in USA)
are the only frameless R-2 and R-4 inflatable boats in the world that incorporate
the most sought-after feature of Russian-designed framed catarafts: kneeling
seats with kneeling braces. Many world-class river runners believed that this
was the single feature that set Russian catarafts above and apart from the rest
of the field of inflatable rafts and boats.The kneeling seats with two-sided
thigh braces give each paddler the ability to reach water far outside of the
boat and do various advanced strokes. This has transformed large slow boats into
